If You Want To Dance With DCH, You Gotta Pay

     Danielle Cohen Higgins says she stands up to developers.
     Her political operation seems to spend a lot of time dancing with them.
     A new Florida Bulldog investigation describes Democratic Party fundraiser Christian Ulvert at the center of a 12-PAC fundraising constellation that has collected roughly $1.6 million this year.

     Two Ulvert-controlled committees supporting Cohen Higgins, Fight For Our Future and We Are, Miami-Dade, raised $303,000 during the first five months of 2026.
     The money did not come from neighborhood bake sales.
     BlueNest Development contributed a combined $45,000 to three Ulvert PACs, including both committees supporting Cohen Higgins. BlueNest is the developer behind the proposal for much denser development on agricultural land and a 10-acre shopping mall. Cohen Higgins helped advance the amendment replacing low density zoning with density that will allow up to 700 residences. 
     The same article identifies Terra, Swerdlow Group, Atlantic Pacific and other development interests among contributors to Ulvert’s PAC network. Many have projects, leases, contracts or land-use matters before Miami-Dade County.
     Ulvert says the committees are lawful, that he does not lobby officials for his clients, and that his work is about “values and purpose.”
     This reporting does not prove an illegal deal.
     It exposes the hypocrisy behind Cohen Higgins’ carefully polished image as a fearless opponent of developers and the reality of who she grants her favors to.
     She says she stands up to them.
     But when the music starts, Cohen Higgins is eager to dance to their tune. 
     Follow the slogans if you like.
     Or, better yet, just follow the PAC money.
